Description
This 3 days tour to Song-Kol lake will take you to the most picturesque nature sites in Kyrgyzstan. During the tour you have a great chance to experience a real Kyrgyz Nomadic life in Song Kol, like overnight stay in a yurt (traditional nomadic dwelling), join cooking of traditional Kyrgyz food and mare milk – Kymyz, horseback riding.
Song Kol is a high altitude alpine lake, sitting on 3016m above see level and it is second largest lake with fresh water. It has an area about 270 km and volume of 2.64 km.
Tour itinerary
In the morning meeting your guide in the hotel you stay and depart to Song-Kol lake. On the way visit Burana Tower with historical museum and Balbals. Burana tower is a 11th century minaret which was built by Karakhanid. You can climb to the top of the tower and enjoy the view of snow-capped Tyan-Shan mountains.
Visit Kochkor village small local bazaar and buy some fruits for dinner in Song Kol. Today you have a great chance to enjoy a view of Kalmak-Ashuu pass (3000m), so we will stop car on the top of the pass to take a photo. Upon arrival have, you have a time for free walking near the lake. Dinner in a yurt.
Overnight in Yurt Camp

Whole day you will explore pride of Kyrgyztan – Son Kol lake with surrounding pasture and mountains.
After breakfast you will enjoy horseback riding about 3 hours.
After that you will walk to Nomad`s Yurt to experience their lifestyle and culture, making Kymyz – national mare milk drink. Also take a photo and just see their lifestyle.
if you want you can also to try to graze/tend sheeps on horses like a real shepherd.
Overnight in Yurt camp

After the breakfast you will have a last opportunity to enjoy this beautiful view of the nature. Depart to Bishkek.
On the way, if you want we can arrange the show of making felt in Kochkor. Lunch in Kochkor.
On the way visiting, historical monument which was built in 1916, located in Boom gorge.
Arrive in Bishkek, go to Bishkek hotel.

1) Yurt camp facilities
Usually yurts included in the itinerary will accommodate 4-5 pax, but upon your request we can book for you single or twin room yurt in Song Kol lake.
2) Horses For horseback riding, we will arrange for you Kyrgyz shepherd`s horse, cause it is not big horse and suitable for long distance riding. You will use the Kyrgyz shepherds horses, because these horses are not so big and can make long distance. Horse will be aquipped with saddles.
3) What will you need for this tour
Sunglasses, rain gear, warm sweater, warm socks, gloves, waterproof trekking boots, down jacket.
