Song Kol is a perfect site for horseback riding tour in Kyrgyzstan. This tour will open up an essentials of Nomadic culture and horseback riding in Song Kol lake. You will be transferred to the world of inspiring nature in Song Kol lake, have a great chance to experience of staying in yurt, eat nomadic food and try horse riding.
Tour itinerary
Depart from Bishkek hotel to Song Kol lake, or our guide will meet you at the airport and than transfer to Kochkor.
On the way visit Burana tower (minaret) which was built on 11th by Karakhanids (World heritage UNESCO) and also you can climb on the top of the minaret.
Visit Kochkor bazaar on the way and buy fruits for dinner. Homestay in Kochkor

After breakfast, Transfer to Kyzart pass to start our horseback riding.
You will be transferred to Jumgal valley, to horseback riding starting point Kyzart and meet your horseman. Today you will cross Kyzyl Kiya pasture on horses and go to Chaar Archa pass (3056m). Lunch in Kilemche pasture.
After lunch you will pass go of the famous passes Jalgyz Karagai pass (3410m) over the Song Kol mountains in Kyrgyzstan
Horse riding time – 6 hours

After breakfast depart to Tulpar Tash. 4 hours riding along the lake. Today you have a great opportunity to explore freedom and taste real wilderness.
Dinner and accommodation at the yurts. Total riding time: 5 hours

After breakfast go to Song kol lake, today you will explore stone circles on the southern shore of the lake. Amazingly beautiful views of Song Kol lake are waitng you!

After breakfast, visit Nomad`s yurt to explore real Kyrgyz life. You can try mare milk – Kymyz and just see nomadic lifestyle.
Depart to Bishkek. On the way visit Kochkor for felt karpet show. Lunch and transfer to Bishkek.
Upon arrival in Bishkek, visit Osh local bazaar. Dinner.
Transfer to the airport.

1) Yurt camp facilities
Usually yurts accommodate 4 pax, but upon your request we can book for you single or twin room yurt in Song Kol lake.
2) Horses we arrange for you Kyrgyz shepherd`s horses, cause it not not big and good long distance riding. All horses will be aquipped with Kyrgyz saddles.
3) What you need for tour
Rain gear, several pairs of warm socks, sunglasses, gloves, waterproof trekking boots, warm sweater

1) Accommodation facilities
Usually yurts included in the itinerary will accommodate 4-5 pax, but upon your request we book for you single or 2 pax Yurt (twin)
Yurt camp in Temir Kanat village offers normal toilet facilities outside, there is no shower here. Toilet facilities are very simple.
2) Horses and luggage
You will use the Kyrgyz shepherds horses, because these horses are not so big and can make long distance. All horses will be aquipped with traditional saddles and this saddle bags provide enough space to take part your luggage where you can store your personal belongings.
Also, we can provide you additional horses for your luggage, if you want to take more luggage. 35 USD price per day for one horse.
3) What will you need for this tour
Rain gear, several pairs of warm socks, sunglasses, gloves, waterproof trekking boots, warm sweater, down jacket, sun cream, horse riding helmets and chaps.
We can provide you safety horse riding helmets and chaps. Cost of renting: Helmets – 2 USD / per day and chaps – 2 USD / per day
